We work with people relocating to South Bend for a job, and with the HR and relocation teams that send them. Tell us about your home and when it opens, and Douglas will call or text you the same day.
Address, bedrooms, the rent you're asking and when it opens. Homes coming open 60–90 days out are what relocating renters ask us for first.
Our local team confirms the home in person and walks renters through it by live video, on their schedule.
Applicants pre-screen once, using the same written criteria for everyone. The lease is dated to the renter's move.
Owners pay a one-time tenant placement fee equal to one month's rent. Renters pay nothing. If we don't place a tenant, you owe nothing.
Lease terms. We ask owners for 6, 12 or 18-month terms, or lease-to-own, timed to the renter's move. Tell us what you'll offer.
Thinking about selling instead? Tell us on the form and Douglas will talk it through with you.
Open to selling later? Some renters ask for a lease with an option to buy: a regular lease plus a separate option that sets the price, the term and the option fee. Whether to offer one is your choice. Every option is negotiated and put in writing; have your own attorney review it. Same broker from the lease to a sale.
Your broker: Douglas Willems. Licensed since 1997, a landlord since 1998, placing tenants since 2008.
We do business in accordance with the Fair Housing Act and Indiana fair housing law: the same screening criteria and the same service for every applicant.
The address, bedrooms and when it opens. Douglas will call or text you the same day.
